Connacht Whiskey Company makes fine hand-crafted single malt pot still Irish whiskey in the West of Ireland. The distillery is located along the scenic banks of the River Moy in Ballina, Co. Mayo. The distillery building itself was once the site of a busy family bakery, and we are proud of our connection with the Duffy family who used Irish grains to handcraft their bread.

The tour offers our guests a unique behind the scenes look at the production of Irish spirits. The tour follows and explains the exact production process from the grains room to the brewhouse, to the fermentation farm and lastly the distillation copper pot stills. The west of Ireland tradition of Straw Boys is brought to life with custom made straw hats that guests are encouraged to try on while they are taught about the illicit Irish poitín and the name behind Conncullin gin explaining that all water used in the distillery is coming from the two intertwining lakes of Lough Conn and Lough Cullin.
